Elsa, the Snow Queen, who appears to have stepped straight out of the fairytale, will arrive at the Library of Árborg, Austurvegur 2 in Selfoss, along with Kristoff the Mountain Man. Athugið að viðburðurinn er á ensku.
Elsa will read 1 – 2 short stories, all while encouraging interaction with the children in english, as well as playing some games with them.
Jessica, is a children’s entertainer, specialized in bringing popular princess characters to life. She was born in the UK and than moved to France as a child so she grew up in a multilingual situation and understands the importance of exposure to languages, both new and old.
It is now more important than ever for children to learn and be exposed to English as soon as possible, not only because over 15% of Iceland’s population is now of foreign origin and often relies on English, but also because it is the most important international language to know.
These story hours will be an excellent opportunity to bring the multilingual population of Selfoss together as well as giving the children magical memories that will stay with them forever.
